The Works Choir

PLEASE NOTE: The choir is now full. If you have not been able to get a place but would like to be on a waiting list, please email using the contact page.

The Works Choir is a pop-up community choir that meets for ten sessions each autumn.

Everyone is welcome to come and learn simple songs in harmony with a leaning towards the folky side of things. We'll sing seasonal songs, some local village carols and songs that feature Sheffield's industrial heritage. All songs will be taught by ear and you don't need any singing experience to join.

This year the venue is Harland Works on John St. in the "Little Sheffield" triangle. This former steelworks is now home to independent makers and businesses and has a courtyard cafe which is where we will meet.

The price is £70 in total. The sessions are on Mondays from 4.30-6.30pm on the following dates:

September 25
October 2, 9, 16, 30
Nov 6, 20, 27
Dec 4, 11
Please note the cafe won't be open during our sessions, we will have the place to ourselves and it won't be staffed. It will however be open and serving food and drinks for our last session when we'll sing for an invited audience of friends and family.
