The Works is a pop-up community choir taking place in Sheffield. There will be 10 sessions leading to an informal performance.
The sessions are on Mondays 4.30-6.30pm at Portland Works Randall Street, Sheffield S2 4SJ. It is close to the city centre, London Rd and Bramall Lane. It’s easy to get to by bus and there is on street parking.
The choir starts on Monday September 23rd and there will be a break for half term
Anyone can join the choir, there is no need to read music and no audition. We’ll sing pop, folk, gospel and world music in harmony. We will work towards an informal performance at the Portland Works Makers Market on Friday December 6th. You don’t have to perform if you prefer not to but the idea is to attend all the sessions if possible.
The cost is £60 payable in advance by clicking the link below. When your payment has been processed you will receive an email confirming your place in the choir.
Please note that we will be singing in an upstairs room accessed via a short, wide flight of stairs. Portland Works is a heritage site with no lift access at present.
